Happiness is defined as a state of well-being characterized by well being and contentment. Are you happy as we speak? Or are you waiting for circumstances to change before you allow yourself to be happy?

Most of us have preconceived notions about what would make us happy, and won’t be satisfied until those things happen. What happens is, even when the those things happen, we’re still not happy. We tend to focus on, and wait for even bigger and better things to happen before we can be happy or even just content.

Prioritizing happiness means a single-minded focus on what makes you happy. Aiming for absolute happiness. This means absolute commitment to the goal, no matter what you may have to sacrifice. Our refusal to settle for short-term happiness in itself guarantees long-term happiness.
Be grateful
Appreciative of benefits received. Gratitude is one of the most powerful states of mind that you can have. As you focus more on what you are grateful to have in your life (their health, friends, family, freedom, education, etc.), you worry less about anything that may be lacking and experience a heightened sense of well-being.

In a recent study, it was found that an attitude of forgiveness contributed to better cardiovascular health. You could say that forgiveness literally heals your heart. There is much to be gained from enjoying the journey to your destination. Make it your mission to rejoice at every step that you take you closer towards your ultimate goals. It’s important to understand that happiness is a choice. Although, there will be certain events in life that will be painful and extremely difficult to handle, it is important to remember Hebrews 13.5, Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Embrace happiness, and it will grow to astounding proportions in your life!
